Study On Integration Mode Of Library Collection ResourceBased On The Linked Data

Collection resource in literature institution such as library has been an important part of the public cultural resource system,but it is facing the serious challenges of dispersibility,heterogeneity and randomness in digital network era,so that urging it to be recognized and polymerized in a semantic and connective way.In this context,linked data is able to fuse the multiple and heterogeneous metadata into a dataset and then integrate it as a data network.Furthermore,the semantic function of linked data can realize the deep integration and open sharing of library collection.Besed on this point,this article discusses the integration mechanism,application foundation,publish method,link management,service strategy of library linked data in integration angle.Chapter one of this article first introduces the research background,general framework,main content,innovative points of this thesis,thus showes the overall view of our research in the macroscopic level.Further,chapter two introduces the research status of information integration and linked data.In the former field we analyse the integration mode in both web information and library collection,and in the latter field we present the subject area and library application of linked data.Chpater three analyzes the concept connotation,basic principle and technology foundation of linked data,thus highlights its advantages of uniform description,standard access,flaxible discovery and semantic expression.On the other hand,we disclose the integration mechanisms of linked data to the collection,including LOD open publish and RDF semantic linkage mechanism,thus lay the theoretical foundation for the applying of linked data in library collection.Chapter four analyzes two basic problems of library linked data,including collection URI identity and library vocabulary.The former should follow the basic rules including uniqueness,uniformity and resolvability,and dissect the existent reason on URI coreference.The latter should investigate existing authority vocabulary for library reuse,and discuss the creation mode of library vocabulary,thus provide the premise for the collection integration.Chapter five discusses the publish of library linked data as the key process of collection integration mode,including creating the descriptive metadata of collection using HTTP URI protocol and RDF model,providing access,browse and inquire ways to linked data applications based on the content negotiation mechanism and SPARQL inquire method,and providing metadata of library linked data.The specific data objects include MARC bibliography data,relational database,virtual collection site,and the corresponding publish methods include RDF semantic transition,D2R virtual mapping and CMS content creation.Furthermore,library should describe the frame of library linked dataset,and explain its source or copyright.Chapter six analyzes the semantic linkage management as the other key of collection integration mode,including RDF link construction and maintenance.The types of link construction include vocabulary link between concepts and relational link between entitis.The methods of link construction include SPARQL inquirment and similarity comparison,besides library can use link construction tools to realize the automation of link construction.On the other hand,the core of semantic link maintenance is establishing the change notification mechanisms between library and target datasets,in order to notify library linked data about the changing in target dataset and take maintenance measures.These mechanisms include WOD-LMP link maintenance protocol and sparqlPuSH/Truplify mechanism.Chapter seven expands the research angle into the library service under integration mode,in order to highlight the practical value of linked data.The library service based on collection integration mode should follow the consumption mechanism and application of linked data,and then fuse linked data with cloud service,in order to provide bibliography service,collection navigation,semantic retrival,knowledge discovery and so on.The last chapter summaries the main idea of this paper and looks into the research prospect,especially analyzes the multiple challenges about the application of collection integration mode in libray and the countermeasures.Further more,we forecast the deficiencies and future direction of our research.
