Based On ASP.NET Online Examination System Design And Implementation

With the development of the society and commodity economy, the relatedrequirements for knowledge and capabilities of workers even technical staff are gettinghigher and higher accordingly. As a measurement to the capabilities of the contestants,test plays an increasingly important role in the modern life, even further penetrating intonearly every aspect of the society with the result of various means of examinations, suchas education examination, qualification examination, etc., Meanwhile, along with thedevelopment of computer and network technology, the technology and carrier of test aredoomed to undertake its revolutionary change. However, most schools still adopts theway of manual work in test design which is not only error-prone but likely to wastepaper and reduce the efficiency of the teachers. Therefore, the thesis puts forward theuse of online examination system and its significance of improving the efficiency ofteachers and the quality of work, even saving the limited natural resources.Accordingly, using C#language with the ASP.NET in the NET platform, thesystem mentioned in the thesis adopts B/S development mode to achieve the functionof online examination system to meet the actual needs of the school. This system makesup many of the shortcomings of traditional examination.The system uses C#language and Asp.net to achieve its function with SQL Server2000database. Asp.net is the current mainstream language of Web development. SQLServer2000database embodies characteristics of a large capacity, high safety and highefficiency of reading. Using Asp.net can help people to easily achieve the goal ofinformation management of both students and teachers, the question databasemanagement, test management, statistical results and discipline management as well. Inorder to achieve its functions of automatic test forming, the system depends mainly onthe variation of test difficulty set by the teacher. The system firstly search for a testwhich can match the difficulty set by the teacher and then form a complete test bychoosing the items in the database randomly. Secondly, the computer itself can mark thetest paper done by the students based on the correct answer and score arrangementautomatically. When the student finishes his or her test paper, the final score is to begiven finally.In all, in accordance with the above technique, this system achieved the functions which teachers can easily input questions and the test paper can be formedautomatically with the setting of the computer, and the computer can automaticallymark the test paper right after the students’ answer is completed.
