With the rapid development of wireless communication system, user desires toobtain a variety of data services.The contradiction between the continuous increasingdemand for radio resources and the dwindling of available radio resources isbecoming one of the main contradictions of wireless communication system. How tomaximize the utilization of radio resources is a major problem faced by the variousoperators in the case of ensuring the quality of service. A traditional but effective wayto solve this kind of problem is the radio resource management.The goal of this study is to propose a model on radio resource management forheterogeneous network and Ad Hoc network.Wireless Ad Hoc network as a network that can be rebuilt quicklyis widely usedin the fields of military and disaster relief in recent years. Radio resource managementof wireless Ad Hoc network focuses on addressing the impact of the link dynamicchanges to the user QoS.Wireless Ad Hoc networkradio resource managementmodelbased on business importance proposedin this paper is able to providedifferentiated services according to the type of business and user priority.Through thepath resource exploration and resource reservation, this model can provide qualityassurance for high demand users.Through resource scheduling and resourcepreemption,this model can provide priority service for high-priority users.Heterogeneous networks by virtue of the complementary action bring by theintegration of the radio access technologybecome an inevitable trend in thedevelopment of wireless communication system.Interconnection of various radioaccess technologies and the emergence of multi-mode terminal allow users cantransfer between networks seamlessly according to their own business needs and thestatus of network resources.But the difference between radio accesstechnologiesbrings the management of heterogeneous network radio resourcesdifficulty.Traditional radio resource management can no longer meet therequirements.This paper presents a policy-based heterogeneous network radioresource management model.Model based on strategy implements heterogeneousnetwork radio resources management in the manner of hierarchical classification.Atthe same time, some radio resource management algorithms such asnetwork selection, admission control and handoff,take the business importance into accountto ensure thatthe model can provide users with differentiated services.Finally, simulation results show that bothradio resource management modelscanprovide differentiated services.
