Application And Implement Of VLAN Technology On Administration Of Networks For School

With the rapid development of network technology and popularization, network hasbecome an important component of the process of school education. Along with the sharpincrease of the number of campus network users, explode of various resources expansion aswell as mass data, it causes the encounter of a bottleneck problem for campus network server,which is unable to meet the large-scale user application requirements, so we must search newtechnology to make up for this inadequacy. As a new network technology, Virtual local areanetwork VLAN has the advantage of flexible configuration, easy to upgrade, safety and solvingthe major problems in the current campus network. This paper puts forward and designs a kindof VLAN-based campus network management and application system, which connect with thesame segment within the computer to the same LAN node among the nodes to makecommunicate directly mainly through the routers, bridges, switches and other devices, and canalso realize the communication for different network segment between nodes which do not needto use a router device. By using this technology, we can improve the security, reliability andflexibility of campus network. The main work of this paper includes:(1) Analyzing the basic principles, structure, characteristics and application prospect of thevirtual LAN and explore the advantages, necessity and feasibility of using VLAN in campusnetwork.(2) Through the analysis of the VLAN advantage, this paper analyzes the system requirementsof the network management needs, demands for network security, security access demand andvirus prevention needs of the campus network.(3) Designing the campus network management system from design principle, topology, switchconfiguration, implementation method, network node configuration and functional design.(4) Analyzing in details and research the realization method of campus network managementsystem based on VLAN technology, process, and designing the VLAN network topologystructure and presenting the shortest path routing algorithm. (5) Designing the network application reliability, security, server security access applications,virus prevention and other aspects respectively, and analyze and test it through the simulationexperiments and the network performance.
