The Research And Design Of Network System For University Library Base On VLAN

The university library is the service base of the teaching and the scientific research. It is the information center for the processing and reorganizing of literature. It is also one of the three mainstays for running universities. The university library is not only responsible for the collection, the storage and the use of literature material, but is also serves for the teaching and the scientific research. As the core of the university library, the library network system already became the constructing emphases of the universities'projectors. Especially, with the unceasing development of the computer network technology, constructing a stable and highly efficient network system will be playing a very important role in further enhancing the service level of universities'libraries.This thesis describes the requirements, based on VLAN technology on research of university library network system, and gives designs combining with the network system integration needs of Suzhou University Library. The major works are as follows:(1) Firstly, the thesis makes the study on the theory methods, networking and techniques of the VLAN, and discusses of the commonly'used network technology in detail.(2) Analysis of the needs of the library network system, Detailed analysis and comparison of the system software and hardware facilities, combining with the actual needs of the Suzhou Institute library network system, then pointing to the VLAN technology based on the design of the university library network system.(3) This thesis also analyses the security of the library network system, and introduced some problems existed in the library network security as well as the safety precautions of the network aimed at the problems.Lastly, after the plan and design, the construction, the new library network system has already been put into operation and has been proved to be qualified for meeting the national standards for check and accept. In the process of application, according to the requirement analysis and the principle of design, the new system has been tested item by item to ensure the library network works reliably and steadily.
