The Study Of Measurement And Modeling Of BitTorrent Network

In P2P network technology, the peer in the network not only works as a client, butalso works as a server. Accordingly, P2P technology processes the priority ofdecentralization, free scalable, highly reliable and load balance, and have been rapidlydeveloped for recent years. the primary application of this technology are datadownloading, storage service, computing, instant messaging, network TV, and new DNSsystem.Firstly, the thesis introduces the studies of analysis of modeling BitTorrent network,the studies of BitTorrent network optimization, the studies of BitTorrent networkmeasurement. Analyzes the working mechanism of the BitTorrent network and lists theconcern problems of this stage research. Followingly the thesis states the definition ofworking modules of BitTorrent network research from the view of the BitTorrent system,the working mechanism of each module in BitTorrent network and the basic principlesof BitTorrent network analysis. Then analyze BitTorrent network from the perspectiveof the BitTorrent network research of this thesis, study the network measurementapproaches of BitTorrent network, and design the architecture of the networkmeasurement platform.And analysis of the work of modules working in BitTorrentnetwork required studied int the research, design the algorithm of measuring the processof every modules working and the collected data validation strategy of measurementaccuracy. Design BitTorrent network measurement platform using these algorithms.Secondly, this thesis studies the basic features of overlay network self-maintainedusing BitTorrent file sharing protocol. According to the procedures of the data sharingof BitTorrent protocol on creating torrent file, uploading sharing data, releasing metefile on web, the dissertation studies the characteristic of the set of data sharing inBitTorrrent network using the set of torrent files downloaded from the popular torrentrelease web site and do the following researches: get the data collected by tracker serverappearing in tracker list of all torrent files from the downloading torrent files above;acquire the downloading node information for the swarm of these torrent files; connect each node of BitTorrent network and measuring the running stat of network. Then thisthesis design the model of network using the data, and analyze the BitTorrent networkrunning characteristics both from the collective data of every modules of BitTorrentprotocol and the function of modules in BitTorrent data sharing system. We concludethe characteristics of BitTorrent network data sharing system by analyzing BitTorrentnetwork, which is important to design application using BitTorrent protocol and toanalysing the attack of network on the BitTorrent network.Lastly, the thesis designs the architecture of the BT network measurement platformsystem following the analysis above, designs the measurement objects of BT network,and designs the deployment of BT measurement platform. In the following thesisdesigns and implement the BT network measurement using by BT network featurereasearching and designs the algorithm in previous research carried out within the BTnetwork measurement platform.
