Chinese Library Classification Physics Category Adjustment Method Based On Bibliographic Records

The Chinese Library Classification (CLC) as a class sub-literature, Organization Literature Classification bent and prepares segment retrieval system of tools is not only widely used in China at all levels of various types of library information sector, but has also been applied in various databases and even the Internet is of the most widely used greatest impact on a comprehensive classification.The CLC in the August2010issue of the fifth edition of the revision to maintain the stability of the classification under the premise, add a lot of new things about the new disciplines new topic category, incorporates a large number of disabled outdated and too small categories, adjusted some of the local system, a new subdivision mark,"general issues" disable markers and other auxiliary tag specification exegesis of the text descriptions, reflects the CLC and knowledge development synchronization concept.The author believes that the quality of a classification system is good or bad often depends on its practical application, and objective evaluation of the classification system is often inseparable from the study of the application of classification and indexing of bibliographic records. Therefore, a better understanding of the current CLC in the application, the paper mainly from the perspective of bibliographic records, explore the CLC various types of category of physics corresponding bibliographic record distribution, in order to find the practical application of these categories position to verify the class table to build a reasonable classification and indexing accuracy and comprehensiveness. By analyzes the characteristics of the architecture of physical categories, as well as problems existed from the perspective of bibliographic records. It has found that there have being some problems such as unbalance of categories, redundancy of setting, thin or thick division and crossed categories, need category update institutions to make further improvements and enhancements. For the above problems occurring in CLC, the paper special combination of bibliographic records of the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), by both macro-and micro-control analysis, the precipitation of the relationship between the characteristics and different place, especially DDC worth CLC learn from. Then, to further integrate the CLC physics CNKI bibliographic records and keywords indexing position through the current network resources to further verify the proposed solutions.
