With the rapid development of the city modernization, city street lamp lightingconstruction and retrofit has become an important topic. Presently, most of the city streetlamp controlling is of low intelligence, which cost high fee and difficulties in maintenance.Moreover, lighting energy saving is conducive to the goal of national energy conservation andemissions reduction. Therefore, to solve the main problem of the street lamp controlling,design a set of effective street light control and improved energy-saving solutions is of goodsocial benefit and economic benefit.Based on multi-agent technology theory, this paper proposed a set of intelligent streetlight energy-saving control system. The system is built with three controlling layers, whichare consisted from different agent units-Node Agent, Section Agent and Supervising Centre.The function module configuration and the software/hardware design of all these agent unitsare discussed; Meanwhile, in view of the street lamp lighting energy conservation andemissions reduction requirements, the system of energy saving strategies related regulationsare discussed, in order to improve the energy saving effect during street light control.Finally, the street light energy-saving control system proposed in this paper are tested inthe experiment platform. Results show that the system control functions are basically realized,and have achieved certain energy-saving effect.
