With the rapid development of the modern automobiles, the vehicle’s interior electronic devices continue to increase, which greatly improves the car’s dynamic property, economy, maneuverability and comfort,more and more wiring harness also increasing the difficulty of the car’s inner wiring and the weight of the car. Meanwhile, the traditional peer-to-peer information exchange is increasingly unable to meet the modern cars’ requirements that are real-time communication, the reliability and stability of communication. In this context, the vehicle CAN bus technology came into being.The CAN bus used in electrical control of the car can solve these problems, which also the current domestic and the foreign automobile manufacturers to develop and is new technology that are using now.This paper analyzed the currently domestic and the foreign automotive application of technology and development, researched on the characteristics of the CAN bus, communication theory, and technical specifications, analyzed the specific application layer protocol based on CAN bus, which is the SAE J1939protocol. Through the mastery of CAN bus technology, the control strategy of control system of automotive doors had been designed. According to the requirements of SAE J1939protocol, a complete set of the communication protocol used to control the doors had been established. In order to satisfy the requirements of the control system, the design scheme of the hardware and software of the control system has been designed seriously. Finally, the host computer and simulation software are connected to the control system by the USB-CAN interface adapter. Through the debugging of the system, the results of the experiment accord with the requirement of design.In this paper, the CAN bus used in car door control, which not only met the requirements of modern car door control, and simplified the automotive wiring harness, reduced the weight of the car, and made the reliability, stability and fuel economy of the cars get greatly improved.
