With the increase of automotive electronic equipment, traditional point-to-pointcommunication cannot meet the communication requirements of modern vehicles. Usingsimple and rapid bus network in vehicles has become an inevitable trend of technologicaldevelopment. So far, a new standard bus communication protocol-J1939protocol hasbeen developed in the field of engineering vehicles. And the complex and hostileapplication environment has put forward higher standard for the bus system reliability andthe faults processing capacity.Firstly, the thesis analyses the research status of vehicle bus system and transientfaults safety control at home and abroad. And the paper also analyses in details thetopology used frequently in engineering vehicles bus and the J1939protocol, pointing outthe potential transient faults and safety hazards for the bus topology. After an analysis ofthe diagnostic function provided by J1939protocol, the theses summarizes kinds ofcommon transient faults of engineering vehicle bus system, extends design the diagnostictrouble code of the J1939protocol and adds common transient faults in order to makereal-time alarm and the faults record convenient. On this basis, the strategy of transient faults recovery is designed from both hardwareand software point of view. The best hardware redundancy strategy is designed byconsidering the actual situation of engineering vehicles and comparing kinds ofredundancy strategies, for example, bus-level redundancy, drive-level redundancy,controller-level redundancy, system-level redundancy, etc. And suitable softwareprocessing strategy is designed to solve the transient faults from both node-level andsystem-level. The node-level measures include CAN controller error interrupt, timeoutprocessing, software re-perform, etc. The system-level measures include schedulingmechanism, heartbeat mechanism, etc. Finally, a simulation test of the transient faultsrecovery based on CANoe is done. The results show that the designed strategies haveobvious effects to the transient faults recovery and control.
