With the gradual implementation of the national Marine strategic plan and the gradual in depth of Sea exploration, the conventional current meter has been incompatible with the present marine measurement requirements. In this case, to develop a new type of three-dimensional instantaneous current meter that can measure upwelling has become an urgent issue. Based on the NSFC subject "instantaneous3-D upwelling currents sensor"(No.41076061.), A delicate experimental apparatus to simulate the current movement and calibrate the three-dimensional transient current sensor is designed.Firstly, this paper reviews the purpose and significance of marine research, emphasizes the importance and necessity for China to carry out marine research. Relying on Marin strategic planning of China, the research background and source is pointed out, the research status of the research institutes at home and abroad is analyzed and the value and significance of the is made clear. Secondly, the overall design of three-dimensional ocean current sensor calibration platform that can measure upwelling is stated. According to the commonly used sensor calibration method, the working principle of the new sensor and its calibration requirements is analysed, at the same time, the hardware and software components of the sensor calibration platform is designed rationally. In addition, the overall design scheme of the platform from two aspects of the calibration platform mechanical structure and electronic control system is explained. Finally, Starting from the main line of the mechanical structure design, the calibration platform institutional layout selection, the feed system design, the scientific selection of main components and the performance check are introduced detailedly. Also from the electronic control system and based on the control tasks of the calibration platform, the control system of the calibration platform is designed rationally, the proper microprocessor and appropriate drive components is selected and the communication and human-computer interaction interface between upper and lower machines is designed. After assembly of the calibration system, the problems encountered in the course of the campaign is solved. Firstly, the mechanical analysis of the system is carried out, a simple and reasonable mathematical model is established, the reason of slow speed crawl is analysed, a measure to solving the system slow crawl by increasing critical crawing speed is taked;from the working principle, structure and composition of grating ruler, the key technologies of the signal acquisition are studied.which lays a good foundation for the next closed-loop feedback.Using acceletation sensor and its relative acquisition software,the dynamic property of calibration platform is tested; furthermore, the movement states of the system in low-speed and micro-displacement as well as the positional accuracy and repetitive positoning accuracy in open-loop state of measurement systems are tested, which paves the system itself completed dynamic performance of laboratory tests by using acceleration sensors and acquisition software about Calibration Platform. It also tested state of motion of the system in low-speed and micro-displacement.and accuracy position of measurement systems in the state of open-loop and repeatability of position. which paves some groundwork for the next work phase.
