The LTE project has been fierily carried since it began. As limitations of laying the equipment, this process needs the support of a large number of simulation work, which requires the establishment of a variety of simulation model closer to reality. The Wireless Channel Model is one of the most important model. Till now, the SCM Channel Model and the ITU Channel Model are widely used in LTE simulation. They are proposed by3GPP and ITU-R after making a large number of actual measurements. In both of the models, some simulation parameters are simplified. For example, they both use the mean number of multi-path and remain unchanged in the simulation process.The subject of this paper is proposing a dynamic channel for LTE based on the study of terrestrial multipath propagation characteristics. The paper first introduces the basic concepts as well as channel characteristics of the mobile communication. Then the paper does lots of research on SCM channel model and ITU channel model including the various model parameters and the relation of them. Besides, this paper also carried out a systematic study of the entire simulation model to determine the specific steps to establish model simulation.On the basis of the above research, the paper first proposes a multipath birth-death model and does lots of simulation on it. Based on this model, the paper further proposes a dynamic channel model combined multipath birth-death model and ITU channel model. Meanwhile, the two models are both tested by simulation.
