GSM-R is the special mobile communication system for railway, which is based on the ETSI GSM, the second generation of mobile communication system. It has already come into use in Europe. GSM-R system is designed for high-speed railway with the velocity 500km/h, and suitable for the development and requirement of high-speed railway which also meets the demands of new-generation digital mobile communication network .Radio propagation in the railway telecommunication network plays an important role in modern wireless system. An accurate prediction of the propagation in the cell is very helpful when designing GSM-R system. The famous statistics model in the mobile models is Okumura model, which is created by Okumura using statistics method. The model is expressed by tables and curves. Based on the model, various modified models are given by other researchers which are Baser to calculate by computers. In fact, these models are not often suitable for a given specific radio propagation environment. This article will combine the general theory test principle of propagation model tuning, and uses software which support for model to predict the field intensity distribution of 900MHz frequency ranges on railway of Ningqi, and compares the academic data and the drive test data, and finally gives a propagation model parameter that is fit for GSM-R system.Secondly, based on the research of the former, the basic characteristics of radio wave with the multipath propagation environments of land high-speed locomotion are researched. The distribution of the path-number, angle of incidence, times of reflection, attenuation and delay are analyzed, simulated and discussed by combining stochastic process theory and speed-landform factor with wireless communications principles. Finally, a improve wireless multipath channel model in the land high-speed locomotive environment was set, based on the Clarke model and channel parameter. And the model was simulated and rate etc analyzed by matlab. The performance were validated and analyzed by this model. In short, the model in this paper would have wide foreground for application in research of radio propagation. And good performance in analysis and practical tools were shown.
