Welding operation is a dynamic procedure which is complex and specific. In the process of welding operation, we make the dynamic variation parameter become a steady-state process in terms of some proper rules. Therefore, we can guarantee the quality of welding operation. For a long time, an apprentice learns this technology through long-term training by his master absolutely, so as to attain plenty of experiences and improve technological capability. However, it’s hard to express with a definite pattern. The aim of studying the detection analysis and diagnostic techniques of welding operation is to analyze, train and rectify welding operation. It is of great sense for improving both manual operant levels scientifically and speed and quality of welding procedure in oil field.Through combining theoretical analysis and practical research, as well as specific subject and practical project, the thesis tries to further study on the aspects of detection analysis and diagnostic techniques of welding operation. Through analyzing the situation and technology of one petroleum transmission pipeline welding training center, we can easily find out that traditional method to train a welder has three disadvantages:long training term, high cost and the quality of operation process is hard to control. To study the diagnosis characteristic of weldment; to analyze a welder’s technical feature; to set up welder’s information management system, manual operation on images information collecting system, appearance quality evaluation information system, internal defect evaluation and analytic and diagnostic system. Finally, a platform which is used to detect and analyze welder’s operation techniques, making use of which, we are able to analyze and diagnose weldment’s quality. Accordingly, we can mention some targeted suggestions for improving welder’s training.Through studying, the thesis designs a platform for detecting and diagnosing welder’s operating techniques, and also in one petroleum transmission pipeline welding training center, applying which, the effect is favorable. The system has finished managing welder and teacher’s information. Otherwise, teachers can analyze and deal with welding data as well as scientifically analyze and evaluate the factors which will affect the quality of welding techniques training deeply, hence, some improving suggestions comes out. Meanwhile, through the net read-in data base, the system can finish recognizing and evaluating the internal defect. The system can make a scientific statistic analysis according each apprentice or each class’s welding quality data. Through analyzing a great amount of recordings of data to analyze the essence of a welder’s operating technique so as to teach whom according whose ability. By which, the training term can be greatly shortened, in the meantime, a great amount of economic input would be saved.
