Nowadays, Cloud Computing technology and its applications are becoming more and more popular, and every IT fields have started to concern about the application and development of Cloud Computing technology increasingly. Cloud Computing technology is bound to bring about a new round of innovation in IT fields. Through the integration of all kinds of cheap computing resources, huge computing resource pool is formed by Cloud Computing technology, which can provide on-demand, self-help and scalable services. Besides, it can also effectively reduce the cost of IT infrastructure investment and improve work efficiency in IT enterprises. Cloud Computing has important strategic significance for raising the level of social informatization. It will surely become one of the most potential IT technology fields in IT industry. Technologies and applications related with Cloud Computing will also be spread and applicated with a large scale in our country in recent years.Cluster server is a computer clusters integrated of many ordinary and even cheap computers, which will have a higher computing performance. With the wide popularization and application of Cloud Computing technology, cluster server system under the Cloud Computing environment presents the characteristics of huge number of server, mass data, heterogeneous compositions and so on. However, facing of these massive Cloud Computing resources, there is a key problem that how to effectively manage all kinds of cluster server resources and application services under the Cloud Computing architecture, in order to ensure the IT infrastructure in Cloud Computing environment to operate well.For ensuring the cluster server under Cloud Computing environment to operate continuously, combining with the new features in the cloud computing environment, in this paper the methods of monitoring and managing cluster server systems in the cloud environment have been researched, and cloud cluster monitoring and management system has been designed to achieve. Firstly, researches in this field at home and abroad have been analyzed. Combining Cloud Computing technology concepts and cluster server monitoring and management technology, some methods of monitoring and management for cloud cluster system have been given. The architecture and detailed levels of cloud cluster monitoring and management system is also designed. Besides, based on the design, each modules in the monitoring and management system also have been achieved, and the functions of monitoring and collection of performance data, monitoring and management of performance and monitoring present on front-end have been implement. At last, all the research work has been summarized, and further researches in the future are also been analyzed and prospected.
