With the rapid development of the Internet and the widely usage of a variety of switching technology and network switching equipment, a heterogeneous converged network environment is formed,thus, there is an urgent need to establish a unified control plane system to achieve the overall planning and management of. heterogeneous resources. Soft defined control technology, because of it’s separation between the control plane and the data forwarding plane, can control data forwarding through a unified control interface, thereby effectively shielding difference of the underlying heterogeneous devices, to achieve a unified control of heterogeneous devices.In-depth analysis of a unified control mechanism and key technology of Heterogeneous Networks based on software-defined control program is conducted in this paper. In-depth research on the overall architecture design, the design for the control module of different element in heterogeneous network, network node devices function expansion and system performance is also conducted. The completed work includes:(1) soft definition control system architecture for heterogeneous network interconnection which can effectively solve the complex traffic control and other issues facing the interconnection of heterogeneous networks was proposed for PON access network, optical switching network and IP network interconnection.(2) based on the above-mentioned soft defined control system architecture, open interface program is designed to support the unified control of the optical switching node, the EPON nodes and IP nodes, and associated modules are implemented.(3) the time-varying dynamic bandwidth sharing algorithms for time-dependent service was proposed to addresses the efficiency issue of usage of spectrum resources in Flex-Grid optical network, and simulation results show that the algorithm can improve the blocking performance of flexible grid optical network to improve resource utilization.
