With the formulation and implementation of the "Digital Earth" strategy, the study of spatial data modeling techniques and three-dimensional visualization are more and more important. In this paper, the fundamental principles and specific applications of the spatial geometry modeling, scientific visualization, computer programming are summaried, the application value of the effectively integration of these technologies in the engineering were explored.This paper mainly studies the three-dimensional modeling of spatial data and its application in oil and gas reserves calculation. Base on the study of Delaunay triangulation algorithm, a new algorithm was proposed in this paper, which combined with three-dimensional visualization technology in data processing which can be real-time displayed. At last,the application of the model in the calculation of oil and gas reserves was researched. The mainly work and innovation points are as follow:1. In consideration of the ineffectiveness of the traditional method of calculation of reserves, Proposed a new method of spatial data modeling based on the proposed combination of the triangle area of trichotomy ascertain of the control vertex,effectively improve the usefulness of the value of long and narrow triangles.The algorithm can avoid various calculation errors caused by the oil and gas researchers while interpetring the information of seismic datum.2. Develop a practical oil and gas reserves evaluation system (GME) softwar The use of mathematical modeling techniques and advanced computer language C++programming skills, Win32.NET platform toe. The system needs analysis, workflow analysis, the overall design an in-depth elaboration of the final details with examples of data system data interpolation, three-dimensional display, reserve calculation.3. Combinated with3D graphics software development kit OpenInventor, deeply research the three-dimensional visualization features of Mesh Viz module. Embed Mesh Viz module in the GME system, realize the real-time reconstruction of spatial geometry on the software platform, accurately reproduce the characteristics of the distribution of each index in study area, effectively help researchers understand the spatial entities related to the overall distribution characteristics.
