In recent years, cloud computing has been developed rapidly and becoming a brand new industry in IT area. With its three service model:IaaS, Paas and SaaS, cloud computing now has its own business ecosystem. As the basis of this ecosystem, IaaS supplies enterprises with two ways of getting cloud service:renting virtual machines from cloud broker, or setting up their own private cloud with virtualization technology and open source cloud controllers. As a national863project, the project to be described in this paper is about to set up a multi-zone infrastructure cloud computing platform, which will provide service to individual or enterprise users. This project is called "Multi-zone Cloud Platform". In this paper, from the sight of background, architecture, and key technologies, we gave a detailed introduction of the platform. Following are the main contributions of this paper.●By describing the key technologies of IaaS, we showed up the implementation schema of "Multi-zone Cloud Platform"●We fixed up some shortcuts of OpenNebula in host provisioning and image management, and make the entire platform easier to use.●To make out the performance of live-migration in the platform, we conducted series of experiments, which is about to dig out the influence of live-migration on multi-tier workloads and provide some valuable suggestions on live-migration policy. |
