The technique of full life cycle computer aided animation generation is proposedby Academician Lu Ruqian in the1990s, and it starts from a children story written inChinese natural language, until the generation of the final animation, every step isdone with the aid of the computer. In2008, Zhang Songmao applied the3D animationauto-generation technology to SMS, which will generate3D animation according tothe SMS sender, and sent the animation to the message receiver.The camera system planning is one of the most important contents in the3Danimation of cell phone short message auto-generation technology, and its basic taskis to provide a perspective that can see3D animation of the cell phone short messagefor users. In a3D animation, whether the camera system planning success or not, willdirectly affect the audiences’ appreciation. And a good camera system can enrichanimation, make the animation changeable, and then let the audiences feel refreshing.In this paper, taking the animation auto-generation technology as the background,combined with the characteristics of the3D animation of cell phone short messageauto-generation system, we divide the camera system planning into qualitativeplanning and quantitative planning.1. Qualitative planning of camera system. This module uses the top-down,stepwise refinement idea, combining with the shots and scenario theme information toplan layer by layer, and the qualitative planning of camera system is divided intooverall qualitative planning layer and basic qualitative planning layer. Firstly,qualitative layer receives the CAL qualitative language which is the analysis result ofupper plot planning, then extracts scene, character, motion information, analyzes andintegrates these information, to get the camera overall qualitative information.Secondly, we summarize eight kinds of shots that are commonly used by looking upthe papers on camera, allocate them to the shooting scene based on the common senseformed in director shooting process, and give them proper weight, add the sceneatmosphere, mood and other auxiliary information as regulating factors,then build aknowledge base of the director which has the diversity and flexibility. Finally, wereason the overall qualitative planning information by using the knowledge base, gainthe basic qualitative planning information that Suitable for corresponding text themeand scenario, and at the same time we lay the foundation for calculation of camerasystem quantitative planning 2. Quantitative planning of camera system. We designed and implemented thecamera system module in quantitative layer, and computer multiple camera schemessupplied by qualitative planning information that reasoned by the upper qualitativemodule, according to the computed scene, character, etc. Secondly we get the bestcamera scheme by scoring system, and optimize the keep-out detection andprocessing in the camera system, then gain the final quantitative information. As thesystem use Maya as the engine of the underlying animation rendering, this needs theAPI of Maya or the drive of MEL scripting language, so we should transfer thequantitative calculated results to the parameters which can be call by API or the MELscript format, then write to MA, and get the final3D animation by rendering.The camera system has been achieved, the entire phone the animationautomatically generated system been extensively tested on real Chinese naturallanguage SMS. Statistics, collected287text messages which animation plotqualitative planning module output of201SMS animation camera Planninginstruction, a total of172messages successfully modified to add or modify thecamera, a success rate of86%. The planning of the camera mainly due to the cameraback to color the main model added to the scene failed. Mobile3D animationautomatically generate system test that phone automatically generated3D animationtechnical feasibility.
