The number of diabetes is increasing accompanied with rapid developmentprogress in economy and society. Diabetes issue becomes fiercely within all over theworld. Diabetes Peripheral Neuropathy (Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy, DPN)appears commonly as the late symptoms know as Diabetic foot ulcers, which is highlyincident and hidden. Vibration sensory thresholds (Vibration Perception Threshold,VPT), which is vital in diabetes research field is applied for predicting if diabeticpatients has DPN. With the purpose of exact diagnosing DPN, VPT detects theVibration feeling of human body through quantitative medthod. With increasingconsciousness of health protection and accompanied with electronic and embeddedtechnology development, research method of early screening for diabetic peripheralneuropathy attracts more focus. Meanwhile, this research is based on theoreticalpsychophysics and combined with quantitative vibration sense threshold detectionprocess. This paper focuses on vibration sensation threshold detection method basedon embedded system platform and designs a faster digital vibration sensationthreshold detecting system for realizing early screening of DPN. In the end of paper,this system carries on an experimental measurement. Research content as follow:This paper focuses on the research of vibration generating and amplitudeadjustment method. The vibration sensation threshold detecting, is measuring humanresponse to vibration sense perception threshold. In that case, this system needs avibration generating component; while vibration amplitude can be controlled in realtime. Using Oster Principle, i.e. Magnetic effect of current vibration, this researchdesigns a vibration generator which drives voltage to change amplitude of vibrationthrough digital signal controlation.Research for designing and establishing system hardware control platform.Thishardware control platform is aimed at realization of vibration sensation thresholddetection, results printing and accomplishment of vibration control method. Thisarticle firstly focuses on overall design of system hardware control platform andconfirmation of the system structure. Following is detailed description ofaccomplishment of system structure, which includes design of each functional moduleand circuit module. At the end part PCB design and simulation is carried on the basisof above research.It also aims at software designing and implementing of detective system. Systemsoftware includes operation systems and application software. The operating system isresponsible for managing hardware resources and shielding hardware differentials onunderlying layer of allocation layer software. This system is convenient forapplication design. According to quantitative vibration sensation threshold detection method, it is realized to specific measurement of vibrating sense threshold. WithLinux operating system in this article, the application on which is chosen to developon Qt4environment. Qt4, a software developing tool cross-platform, supports toimprove the versatility and portability for this system.
