With the increasing of video codec technology and network communicationtechnology continues to evolve, video surveillance system which is composed by theIP-network camera, has been widely applied in the field of intelligent transportation,video conferencing, intelligent buildings, hospitals, campuses, shopping malls,supermarkets, production and living quarters and so on.In response to these needs, I proposed the network video systems design which isbased on the Davinci (Leonardo da Vinci) architecture. And consider for product, Ihave compared and selected many programs, to guarantee quality basic and minimuminput. This paper is divided into two parts: software and hardware design methods.According to the chosen the TMS320DM365core processor (part of the Leonardo daVinci Series), the design of modular approach is facilitate to improve and integrate,and further reduce costs. The TMS320DM365has powerful internal hardwareresources. It integrated clocked at270MHz ARM926core; the DSP end has two videoimages the processor (HDVICP and MGPEG) engine can support H.264, MPEG4,MPEG2, MJPEG codec format. The ARM9architecture also determines the selectionof the Linux operating system, integrating multiple open source module. Software,using the framework of multi-interface support, and added "Onvif" module in theprotocol layer, which is the key to this design, is also innovative and effective solutionto each platform manufacturers and camera manufacturers use their owncommunication protocol brought trouble.Thinking of modular software and hardware design, the initial realizationIP-network camera product has been done, which is a scalable, strong compatibility,support for high-definition video, supports H.264codec product, to achieve ahigh-definition video system with flexible and network.
