| Information security is the premise of social digital construction, and it isclosely related to the development of national economy and social stability. Cryptochip, as the core of information security, guarantees the integrity, non-repudiationand confidentiality of information and it has a profound impact on various fieldssupported by information system. However, the security of the crypto chip itself hasbeen under threat since power analysis attack appears. Because of its effectiveattack and potential prospects for the development, power analysis attack has causedgreat concern to the domestic and international researchers. Therefore, it is of greatsignificance for the protection of information system security to analyze the securitythreat of crypto chip and explore corresponding countermeasures.This thesis is about ASIC-oriented crypto chip. A simulation platform, basedon the physical characteristics of power analysis attack and principle of differentialpower analysis attack, is developed for quickly completing the process of poweranalysis attack on ASIC-oriented crypto chip. This platform uses PrimeTime PX forpower simulation and MATLAB for power modeling.Data Encryption Standard and Advanced Encryption Standard are typicalrepresentatives of the symmetric encryption algorithm. They are implemented inregister transfer level, and the weak aspects of them are also explored in this thesis.Round keys of the two algorithms are obtained with the simulation platform whichindependently developed by ourselves. It confirmed the necessity of takingmeasures during the crypto design. Masking method is one of the most widely usedtechnologies among all the known countermeasures. The principle of masking is in-depth studied in the thesis, and it is applied to these two block cipher algorithms.The evaluation of our masking scheme is performed with the simulation platform,and the experimental results show that it can provide perfect protection from poweranalysis attack. |
