Radar is the core component of many weapons, developing high precision radorcan greatly enhance the precis ion of the weapon and improve the performance of theweapon system, which is extremely significant for strengthening the nationaldefence capabilities. In the process of radar design, the radar test console is μsed forpower control and the parameter test. With the simulator, stents and GPS, the radartest console can provide a whole system test and save the test data to provide theassessment of the radar performance.Conducted a analysis of parameter, overall the requirements for a particularmodel of radar functions and technical index, and then carried out the scheme and adetailed introduction to the test console hardware and software design. The designalso provided the PCB board design and the Verilog design. Combined with theactual test environment, the test was classified into two parts, the laboratory test andthe fie ld test, to describe the radar test in different environments, as well as theapplication software. According to the principle of coordinate transformation andthe actual application of the background, introduce the GPS coordinate conversionto achieve the convert of target from the geodetic coordinate system to the radarcoordinate. With the virtual instrument design software, LabWindows/CVI, and themulti-threading technology, complete the test console real-time software designwhich schedules throughout the test between the different tasks. At the end, thepaper presented a general test and gave a detail error analysis.The actual test shows that the test console has enough functions and stableperformance, and meets all the design requirements.
