From the1990s, with the development of Internet and multimedia, information hidingbecomes the hotspot of the academic research. Steganography is the prominent branch of theinformation hiding, because of the characteristics and the great significance in the region ofinformation security, it draws attention to the international academia and the relevantdepartments. This paper proposes an improved steganography algorithm based upon F5steganography and wet paper codes, the improved algorithm has better security and can againststatistical analysis. Introducing the master research contents and the research production asbellow:First of all, the relevant knowledge of the Information hiding is generalized andsummarized, then the paragraph introduces the steganography and the steganalysis, presents thedialectical relationship between them and the technical features of the steganography.Secondly, based on the explanation of the JPEG compression, next part introduces the Jstegand the OutGuess algorithm simply, and presents some usual methods of steganalysis and theevaluation of the quality of image briefly.Next, the principle of the F3、F4、F5algorithm is introduced, the section compares andanalyses the performance of these steganography algorithm by simulation. The introduction ofthe principle of the wet paper codes and the human visual characteristic foreshadows theproposal of the improved algorithm.In the end, this paper proposes the improved steganography algorithm based on thecombination of F5steganography and wet paper codes which embedding information in theregion don’t belong to the color lump, preserves the distribution of the natural noise and the DCTcoefficients of low and middle frequency its decimal part is0.4-0.6, the selection channel isconstructed by wet paper codes, increases the absolute value of the DCT coefficients when embedding information to avoid the “shrinkage” of the F5steganography. Then the performanceof the improved algorithm is verified and analysed by experiments.The experimental resultsindicate that this algorithm has upper security and the stego-images obtain better quality.
