In the course of processing and using,large-diameter longitudinal seam weld steelpipe occurs flexural deformation,and the size of the deformation need to measure thestraightness. At present, the large-diameter longitudinal welded pipe manufacturers usemanual pull wire method to detect the pipe straightness which is low precision and poorefficiency. In this paper, a measurement system which is base on laser measurementtechnology has been designed. The laser triangulation reflective displacement sensor fixedon the pipe above the port location, pipe fittings in the CNC system, the deflection curveobtained by moving the pipe. The implementation of this detection system has highreference value for the straightness measurement of the large pipe. But the requirement ofthe CNC system is high, while the manufacturers use raceway transfer pipe, and itstransmission is not smooth. It takes designed a set of high-precision delivery platform,which makes the detection system has not really used in production.To improve the above model, a large-diameter longitudinal seam weld steel pipeautorun deflection detection system is designed, just based on the existing sets ofstraightening equipment, add a simple framework device can solve the above problem.According to the deformation character of large-diameter longitudinal seam weld steelpipe, the measuring system design adopts optoNCDT1302Reflective Laser DisplacementSensor as measuring element, infrared remote control car as executive device to carry outwireless control measurement. By using of the virtual instrument software environmentLabVIEW, OpenILD1302, GetSettingsILD1302, Poll, ErrorHandler and CloseILD1302functional module are compiled so as to accomplishing data acquisition, outputting anddisplaying.By many experiments, the errors of the measuring system and the experimentalfacilities such as the Laser Displacement Sensor, the data transmission line, the remotecontrol car and its rail roughness are analyzed. Through measuring a straight beam getsthe system error of the measurement system. From the measured data, it shows that thesystematic error of the measuring system mainly derived from the remote control car, the other experimental facilities generating a little error.At last, many groups deflection examination are carried on with the76900mmlongitudinal seam welded pipes which are different amount of deflection through thelarge-diameter pipe measuring system. By the contrast experiment of the Threecoordinates measuring machine, the measurement error of the system is achieved.
