With the rapid development of information technology, information security hasbecome an essential part of information field. The chaotic encryption is the core content oftoday’s information security technology. The chaotic one-way hash function(Hashfunction) is turned to be one of the key technology in the password application field, and italso play an increasingly important role in the field of international electronic signatures,data integrity and message authentication.This paper made a study on spatiotemporal chaos and Hash function, and performedthe following work based on existing research:Firstly, the universality and importance of chaos in human life was introduced, andchaos is strongly associated with cryptology. The reason for fading away of traditionalHash function times was analyzed. After introducing several Hash functions of simplechaotic mapping, it found that certain collision problems and low security performance aretheir common problems.Secondly, the author did some exploration and research on the Hash function basedon spatiotemporal chaos, analyzed some kinds of coupled map lattice models andspatiotemporal behavior describe quantity, and talked more about the performance ofChebyshev mapping model. After all those works, the spatiotemporal chaos model andlocal mapping model were selected to structure the Hash function.Again, two new Hash functions based on spatiotemporal chaos were structured.Two-way coupled map lattice model and crossing coupled map lattice model werecombined to alternant iterate, while the two-dimensional coupled map lattice model wascombined to verify whether it made use of spatiotemporal chaos well. In the process ofreaction, the Chebyshev model whose degree was joined by random disturbance was used,in addition, the initial value generation module was added to provide initial value forcoupled map lattice model, and each plain text groups iterated in parallel to result the finalHash value.Finally, the author did experimental simulation in MATLAB to verify the sensitivityof the initial value, the diffusion ability, the collision-free ability and calculating efficiency, and they also analyzed the feasibility and advantages of the Hash function based onspatiotemporal chaos.
