Design And Implementation Of Mobile Services Assist Design Tool

Mobile services are growing rapidly and many of them, such as voice service,SMS and MMS, have become traditional and daily use. Mobile Internet, mobilenewspaper, mobile TV and infotainment become popular. Services are growing in thetrend with plentiful, diverse, market responsive and customer demand variable. Unliketraditional single service with single usage scenarios, the newly born service inte-grates variety of applications together to form complex application usage scenarios.To cope with these challenges, mobile operators need to create a combined billingsystem, which can respond quickly to market demand, to replace the previous bus i-ness platform which is business separated, pre/post-paid service billing system iso-lated and billing platform separated.Based on co-operant project of Sun Yat-Sen University School of Software andChina Mobile Guangdong Branch as well as the Guangzhou Municipal Science andTechnology Project “mobile convergence billing key technology research and applica-tion”, this paper elaborate the product-assist tool’s design and achieve. This tool canimprove the efficiency and accuracy of the product design, shorten product releasecycle, in order to adapt to the rapid development of the whole business in the informa-tion era. What’s more, providing billing engine’s billing script file, it establishes a ba-sis for the integration of billing.The main work of this paper consists of four aspects: First, based on DomainSpecific logic billing Language for the field of mobile services, assist design tool pro-vides a friendly interface to design business products, error, error positioning andcompatible view. Second, the correctness of the business rules is a precondition of thebilling engine to work properly. Therefore, products assist design tool checks the cor-rectness of the business rules that include integrity checking and consistency checking. Third, the components of the open-source tools drools rules engine, workflow, deci-sion table, and billing engine used in accordance with the logic the billing languagedesign and the rules script decision table. Fourth, virtual sheets are introduced toguarantee the correctness of business script and decision table. Currently, a prototypeof this tool is implemented for voice services.
