Abstract/Summary:
Nowadays, with the rapid development of information technology, more andmore measurement and control systems are built on the basis of a distributed networkenvironment, which needs the support of high-precision clock synchronizationtechnology. As an efficient communication and precise measurement technology,Embedded Ethernet communication and clock synchronization technology will playan important role in the precise measurement of distributed systems when applied inindustrial fields. In this paper, Embedded Ethernet communication based on the IEEE1588PTP is designed, which is used to achieve high-precision clock synchronizationperformance. This paper includes the following work:1. The hardware scheme of clock synchronization system is given, whichincludes the realization of hardware timestamp, the design of master module andEthernet communication module, and the GPS timing module;2. The software system of Embedded Ethernet clock synchronization is designedin corresponding with hardware system. In addition, software architecture isintroduced, and the transplantation of LwIP protocol stack is realized;3. A test platform of clock synchronization system is built to test and evaluate thedifferent properties of the Ethernet communication system. Three experiments ofclock synchronization are implemented. The results of the experiment show that theaccuracy of the system clock synchronization within the sub-microsecond range.This paper mainly designs the platform of Embedded Ethernet clocksynchronization hardware and the implementation of software and testing. Ultimately,the experiments based on the platform show that the clock synchronization system isprovided with sub-microsecond precision, which achieve the objectives of thissubject.
