Gyroscope is one of the main factors determining the inertial system precision. Itis used to transform angular motion parameters of carriers, like airplanes, rockets,aircraft carriers, into current signal output. In recent years, the world has made rapidprogress on electrical and mechanical gyroscope technology, represented as flexuregyroscope. Thereinto, it is important to improve the overall performance of gyroscopesystem for solving the low precision of the inertial system. This paper is aimed toachieve an overall performance gain of gyroscope system. The design of accurateflexure gyroscope modeling, performance analysis and flexure gyroscope rebalanceloop was researched in this paper.1. To raise the overall performance of gyroscope, the paramount problem is toobtain a precision gyroscope model. In this dissertation, a whole scheme of parameteridentification of gyroscope model is presented. The proposed method is applicable toaccurate modeling, and provides foundation of gyroscope performance analysis andthe parameter design of rebalance loop. This method was based on the keyperformance indicators and the dynamic model of flexible Gyroscope and it wasapplied in the following steps. Firstly, multisine, which is also called PseudorandomNoise, was chosen as the excitation signal, and ARX model was chosen inparameterized modeling. With the excitation signal and response signal, and applyingspecial algorithm, the preliminary discrete model could be obtained. Secondly, thisdiscrete model was converted to a continuous model using zero-order-hold method,and Gauss-Newton minimization method was applied to refine the initial estimation toget the optimal model. The experimental results indicated that the fitness degreeincreased to95.3%and the residual error was in the tolerance band. The proposition,which is illustrated with practical results, provides a feasible technical measure and atheoretical basis.2. A gyroscope rebalance loop design method based on the precisionidentification model was presented for solving unknown control parameters problem.Bases on control decoupling strategy and identification results, the hardware circuitdesign of the control decoupling and the parameter selection was discussed. Simulation and analysis of correcting network performance was designed, and theresult indicated this network meets the requirement of gyroscope system.3. Finally, the whole performance tests of gyroscope system were carried out. Thetest project includes random drift test, scale factor test, thresholds test, and resolutiontest and so on. The test results suggested the rebalance loop realized the expectedfeatures.
