The fiber optic gyroscope technology is a critical technology in the field ofinertial navigation, and its superior performance and broad application prospectshave been paid attention, the introduction of slow light technology can furtherimprove the accuracy of the fiber-optic gyroscope.In this thesis, the principle of how the slow light fiber optic gyroscopeworks has been researched, and insures that the addition can enhance thesensitivity of the traditional gyroscope. With the analysis of current design of theslow light fiber optic gyroscope system, demonstrate that the design can improvethe sensitivity ton gtimes.For processing slow-light fiber-optic gyroscope output signal, the output ofthe Butterworth filter and wavelet filter been compared to determine theeffectiveness of wavelet filtering using in the signal processing. Adjust theparameters of the wavelet filtering to determine an optimal wavelet filter. ALabview program has been designed to process the output of slow light fiberoptic gyro signal. With the processing of experimental systems signal, verify thereliability of the theory.Comparing with the filtered signal shape, analyze the sources of noise thatmay exist in the system, and ensure the exisentence of noises qualitatively.Proposing some experimental program to improve system accuracy and reducethe noise. At the same time, the filtered signal could be given a certain degree ofcompensation. Calculated for the final results of the actual value of phase shift,and prove the validity of the experimental verification of theoretical results.
