Design And Implementation Of Campus Social Networks System For Colleges And Universities Based On J2EE

With the rapid development of Web2.0, the emergence of social networksprovides the way that people exchange their information more conveniently. WithFacebook has been well-known throughout the world in a very short period of time,social networking is considered to be another milestone following the Search Engineand Web2.0. As one of the most popular Internet applications in recent years, socialnetworks are able to help us to maintain closer ties with friends, meet like-mindedfriends and find our friends who lost contact. Campus users are not only the subjectof the Internet users, but also the basis of the survival and development of the socialnetworks. Although these popular public social network systems can meet the demandof university users in social networking and interpersonal communication, they cannotsatisfy their needs of learning and activities in campus properly, and cannot meetcollege students in the cultural aspects of the individual needs.With the development of data mining technology, the social network shouldinject some new ideas. The main work of this paper includes the following aspects:a. We have studied the basic framework and philosophy of the popular socialnetwork, including the definition of the social network data, basic theory, researchdirection, functions and interface, and the importance and significance of thedevelopment of social networks.b. Through the web-based survey about the demands of contemporary collegestudents for social networking, we proposed a new college students’ social networkmodel to improve the popular social networking system. c. Using the standard software engineering to design and architecture the system,this paper makes a detailed description about the key techniques and principles of thesystem and the database, and UML modeling.d. We design and implement a J2EE-based Campus social networking System,which uses the Struts+Spring+Hibernate technology framework and somefunctions such as friends management are included.The system to achieve the intended purpose, design closely integrated with thereal campus environment and activities, social networking sites including campusfeatures and campus culture model.
