Streaming media technology and business is an important branch of broadband multimedia technology and business. Streaming Media is characterized by large volume of data and long time transmission.It is very strict to some Qos indicators such as delay,jitter,packet loss rate, bandwidth and so on.In the current Internet Construction of a large-scale cost-effective streaming media system is a challenging work.We design a streaming media live system combined with CDN(Content Delivery Network) and (Peer-to-Peer NetWork) technologies on the basis of the study of them.First,make the rules of cutting the streaming media data into slice.Design a network topology model in which the ES(Edge Server) as the center. This model use the multicast tree topology, each subtree only send one steam. One of the advantages of this design is that when the father node is fail, only one stream is affected.This greatly enhance the stability of the network and robustness.Seconcd, the paper used PUSH and PULL data transmitted strategy, in particular the adoption of PUSH strategy, the father of node will sent the latest data to the lower nodes, greatly reduced the delay between the low level and high level.In addition, We have a detailed desigh of the terminal transmission subsystem cache module structure including the flow algorithm, data sections for the reception and composition:complete inspection mechanism and slice redundant mechanism guarantee the restoration of the buffer for the flow to the players, the integrity of the timing cycle for the chip timestamps flow algorithm guaranteed rate programs in the channel constantly changing circumstances, in the buffer there is always streaming media data.It also put forward a packet loss and delay testing standards for the detection algorithm and Qos topology recovery algorithm, improve system robustness. In addition, the paper also has been optimized to enhance the autonomy of networks. In this paper the development of a complete application layer agreement, protection and server nodes, nodes and the normal communication between nodes.Test shows that PCast system operated well and smoothly for the1024kbps broadcast programs to DVD quality standards.The delay between two levels is not more than Is, effectively reduces the delay. In the network environment is poor, the system can still operate normally.
