As an important foundation industry for ensuring the sustainable development of the national economy, power industry has a large number of assets, equipment, personnel and other information. With the adevent of the information age, how to analyze, process, display the information which is increasing day by day quickly will undoubtedly become one of the most important issues. Computer graphics technology enables the growth popularity of information visualization, which display the information with variety of data diagrams instead of static text style. In the applications of power industry, displaying the device properties and system status in the form of chart and image by information visualization technology together with advanced algorithm, makes it more convenient and clearer for the staff to get the status of the power systems, and enables them take more effective and targeted measures to control the power systems.So, by reseaching information visualization technology with the practical requirements of power industry, this paper implements a visualization system of electric power equipment information based on SVG and FushionCharts techniques. This system can show the internal relation of the electrical wiring graphics information, state evaluation information, test information and device property information by display them in the form of2D or3D graphics, which makes it possible for users to get the information they need. J2EE architecture is used in this system to provide better stability, portability, flexibility, and ease of maintenance. Besides, GIS information display model and street view display model are integrated by extending interfaces. Practice has proved that through the visualization system, users can quickly access to critical information and improve the work efficiency, which has a great significance in power industry.
