Study On Harmonious Development Of Postgraduate Education And Economy In Hubei Province

In today’s era of the knowledge economy, the relationship between postgraduate education and socio-economic development is becoming increasingly close. The research on the harmonious development of the postgraduate education and the economy is the common concern in the field of the higher education, and it faces many urgent issues needing to be explored. Hubei, as a large province in postgraduate education, its postgraduate education and regional economic development has not yet formed a harmonious pattern. Therefore, the research on the harmonious development of the postgraduate education and the economy has great theoretical and practical significance.The article researched on the harmonious development of the postgraduate education and the economy in Hubei province, in the background of the national postgraduate education and economic development. First, the author researched into the theory of the harmonious development of postgraduate education and economy, then analysis empirically on the harmonious development of the postgraduate education and the economy in Hubei province from different angles, and put forward the existing problems in the process. And then the author posed the thought and strategies to solve the problems, so as to promote the harmonious development of postgraduate education and economy.The article is divided into five parts: The first part mainly explained the background, the present research, the basic structure of the article, the thought and methods and so on of the harmonious development of the postgraduate education and the economy; The second part mainly explored the characteristics,the principles and the model; The third part mainly carried on the research through comparing the postgraduate education and the economic development among Hubei,Sichuan, Jiangsu province and the whole country from 1996 to 2005. And advanced the relevant analysis of the postgraduate scale and the level of economic development, the growth rate of postgraduate education and economy, the postgraduate education discipline structure and industrial structure as well; The forth part discussed the reasons for disharmony and the current main problems, and proposed appropriate strategies; The fifth part, proposed the main conclusions and innovations of the research and the problems which are expected to research deeply.
