At present, more than300independent colleges established in our country in accordance with the new mechanism and new model have become an important part of Chinese higher education. To maintain healthy and sustainable development in the fierce market competition, they should pay attention to the teachers, whom are the most important resource for the schools’ survival and development. The salary management has shown its importance accordingly. Salary is of vital interest to the teachers, and it is the college’s recognition to teachers’ labour as well as the guarantee and support to the teachers’ vocational development. Due to the characteristics of the independent college development, the issue of how to build a reasonable and fair salary system for teachers has become a key point for the independent colleges.Taking the teachers’salary system of Yunnan Normal University Business School as the diagnosis and research object, the author collects a large number of materials about present salary system in this college and interviews the person in charge of each department and teachers for the investigation of current salary. It is hoped that after analysis of the vocational characteristics and needs of independent college teachers, the defects in salary system can be diagnozed, and the causes can be discovered. Meanwhile, on the basis of the characteristics and conditions of the independent college itself, this thesis aims to primarily build an attractive and motivating comprehensive salary system to further satisfy the needs of teachers, increase their satisfaction to salary, and enhance their sense of belonging to the independent college. |
