With the rapid development of China’s vocational education, secondaryvocational school education enters into a new stage that focuses on the whollyimproved quality of skilled personnel. The new situation requires secondary vocationalschools focus on the process of educating and training students in order to promotestudents to “become successful”. Improving the quality of personnel training becomesthe fundamental path of sustainable development for secondary vocational schools.However, the particularity of secondary vocational school students determines the vitalrole of the head teachers playing in the development of the school. Therefore,improving the secondary vocational school head teachers’ professional level and theability to work has become a major issue studied by vocational school administratorsand researchers.The author notes that in recent years, people investigate a lot on the training ofhead teachers in primary and middle schools, but rarely on secondary vocationalschools. On the issue of school-based training, most researchers pay more attention tothe school-based teacher training of basic education or vocational education school andless on teacher of secondary vocational schools.Under this situation, based on the author’s working experience, the issue ofresearching direction is determined on the school-based training of the head teachers inthe vocational school. Henceforth, an educational research group is established, anresearch project of similar content and subject is applied, action research relating to thedaily work is carried out. During two years’ researching process, we consultdocumentaries, hand out questionnaires and interview different people in order tofigure out the main ideas of educating in our school, design the measures of trainingand prove the results of all measures. Not only did the head teacher training in ourschool have gain impressive success, but also I single-handedly finished my masterthesis with the researching materials.The present thesis includes a total of seven sections.The first part is the introduction to explain the background of this study, the needfor the implementation of this study, the purpose of the definition of the core concepts of domestic and foreign research analysis and research, content and methods.The second part analyzes not only the sustainable development of secondaryvocational schools, and the urgent need for highly qualified head teacher, but also thenecessity of promoting school-based training in vocational schools, especially theobjective needs of the teacher working on the implementation of school-based teachertraining.The third part, the author focuses on and analyzes how university researchprojects under the guidance of research in vocational teacher’s objective reality basedtraining to determine the guiding ideology,The fourth part, in the specific context of secondary vocational schools, how theimplementation of school-based teacher training ideas and initiatives.The fifth part analyzes and verifies the implementation of the above ideas andinitiatives based training, how to get preliminary results, the teacher has the ability toenhance the school’s progress and how the results.The sixth part analyzes the lack of this research, what remains to be furtherstudied and developed. It’s also the further thinking on the vocational training of theteacher-based research directions.The seventh part is the conclusion of this research.
