Since twentieth Century, with the change of age structure, not only the developedcountries in the world have faced the problem of an aging population, including China,developing countries are also facing the problem of aging population. The agingpopulation has appeared the trend of globalization. Japan entered the aging society in1970s, the development of Japan society have brought great influence. Especiallywith the aging population, the labor of age structure. That aging trend is obvious; theyoung labor supply relative reduction and other issues have become increasinglyprominent. It not only affect the employment structure of Japan. But also restrict thedevelopment of economic and social in a certain extent.This paper first introduces the Japanese Ministry of internal affairs, labor andwelfare, social security and national data on population problems with literature,analyses the present situation and the development trend of aging population in Japan.On the basis of this, researches the characteristics of the present situation and thechange of employment structure in Japan. As aging population degree’s deepening inJapan, the structure of employment has the trend of declining employment, theemployment proportion of male labor force is relatively reduced, the female laborforce employment proportion to increase; the hiring of employees proportion isrelatively reduced, informal employee’s proportion to increase; willing to hire olderpeople work in enterprises are increasing and a series of features. Further analysis ofthe aging population in Japan for the changes in the structure of employment. Finally,according to the changes which aging population to the employment structure. Wecan have conclusions.The problem of aging population is paid attention by the Japanese governmentand the social from all walks of life. In the face of the degree’s deepening of Japaneseaging population. The Japanese labor shortage, the aging problem of labor’s agestructure is becoming increasingly prominent, have had a profound impact on thestructure of employment, the concept of employment and employment policy. In order to promote employment, supplement the lack of labor force, the Japanesegovernment promulgated a series of policies, such as promoting the employment ofwomen, the elder’s employment; also advocated the Japanese enterprises to improvethe elder’s working conditions, improve old employee’s welfare, extending the age ofretirement. As early as the beginning of1970s,Japan had enterer into the differentaging society, China in2000, the number of the population of65years old was morethan7%, had entered the aging society. But the degree of aging population in ourcountry gradually deepening, the aging population speeds up, have had a profoundimpact the economy, the society of our country. Although the two conditions aredifferent obviously, but the effects of aging population in Japan and the employmentproblems of the same, they have inspiration for China.
