In recent years, with the sustained and rapid growth of our country’s economy, the demands for practical talents from secondary vocational schools have the pretty robust momentum. What’s more, the demands of the employing units for secondary vocational school students’professional knowledge and professional skills are also gradually improving. At present, the secondary vocational schools have opened some courses of career planning and employment guidance of pre-service training in order to cultivate talents better, improve the secondary vocational school students’comprehensive quality and employment competitiveness, help them find the suitable jobs out of school and achieve the life goals. However, career guidance education is still at a very early stage in our country. Although some experts and scholars have been exploring the related problems of secondary vocational school students’career guidance, it is a certain long way from theoretical research and practical operation. Career guidance in secondary vocational schools is remaining in recommending students jobs and providing helps and guidance to the graduates, neglecting the education of professional ideals, professional ideas and enterprise consciousness, which makes employment quality difficult to get security.Career guidance is the process of helping students understand themselves, plan scientifically their career, and strengthen the professional ability of pre-service preparation during the period at school. The author thinks that career guidance in secondary vocational schools is not only related to the students’own existence and development, but also related to the school development and so on, all of which have very important significances. In this paper, according to the present situation of carrying out the work in Accounting in Guangzhou Vocational High School of Trade, the author specifically studies secondary vocational school students’ career guidance strategies. The school has made the innovation on the curriculum system, course content, teaching methods and schedule in the process of career guidance education, letting the students experience growth in learning, improve their employment ability, meet the needs of career development, and effectively improve the quality of graduate employment. At the same time, through the career guidance education, the students can understand themselves and know their career, set up their own career ideals, establish more reasonable and developing professional values, view the social employment and personal career with the correct concept, master the ability and quality of adapting to the society, enhance the core competitiveness. It helps upgrade the students’ employment, provide needed talents for the society and enterprise, pursuit the harmonious development of human being and nature, people and society. Career guidance theory and the practice research in secondary vocational schools are the new topics for the secondary vocational education in our country in the new period. The author gets a large amount of information and the first-hand information through consulting literature material, questionnaire survey and other ways, describing the present situation of career guidance on Accounting in secondary vocational schools and pointing out the main problems existing in the career guidance work, analyzing the reasons of the problems and putting forward the strategies and measures to carry out the career guidance.
