As the core content of high school mathematics, throughout the high school mathematics,function is the focus and difficulty of college entrance examination, and also has close contactwith other chapters. From leading the concept of function, to the research on the basicelementary function, and then to learning different knowledge such as the series, equation,inequality, limit, derivative, differential and integral calculus, and so on. They are all relatedto the application of function knowledge and thinking method. Therefore, to learn the functionare the key to the high school mathematics, and also the basis of further study of mathematicsand other subjects. At the same time, in the daily life and practical production, the function isused everywhere at any time. In this context,the function position has become increasinglyimportant.Function teaching present situation also exists some problems. As a teachermounting the platform not long, I teach high school mathematics in Pingshan County AMiddle School in Shijiazhuang. In the teaching practice of the function, I discover someprominent problems. Facing the realistic problem urgently to be solved, finally I choose thefunction of teaching practice in the senior high school as the theme to study in order to findthe countermeasures really suitable for thefunction of teaching practice in the local school.This thesis is based on the background of the usual teaching activity. In the teachingprocess,I study the teaching materials and record the problems encountered in the classroom.In addition, I refer to the relevant literature periodicals in the library to provide a theoreticalbasis for the research. I survey and test the local students to obtain the real informationreflecting the function of teaching practice effect. According to the function knowledge andapplication and the test results, I interview with student "a" personally to understanddifficulties of function learning and find the source of the problem. In the teaching process,some problems are serious focused on two aspects——the function concept understandingand application of function. In the function concept understanding, teachers do not payattention to the background examples of function and the process of concept formation. It causes students understanding function poorly. In theapplication of function, the basics function grasp is not firm, besides, laking functionapplication consciousness is the key question.According to two outstanding problems about function concept understanding and theapplication of function, the feasible solving measures are put forward respectively. In thefunction concept understanding, teachers should pay attention to function background andselect examples reasonably, and then introduce the concept of function naturally and highlightthe function nature. In the application of function, teachers should urge students to understandand master the basic knowledge solidly and focus on the relationship between basicelementary function, and then pay attention to the cultivation of students’ functionconsciousness and osmosis various mathematical thought and method effectively in thefunction teaching in peacetime. Finally, In accordance with the solution, I implement inteaching practice in deed. A certain effect is received.
