Red resources is mainly refers to the communist party of China leads the people of allnationalities in our country in the revolutionary war and the practice of the construction anddevelopment has created revolutionary cultural relics sites, and if the sum total of materialand spirit in it. The revolutionary spirit the revolutionary war, is the excellent educationresources in our country, it reflects the people of all ethnic groups in China are not afraid ofsacrifice, unite as one, is the noble quality of hard struggle, dares to innovate.These qualitiesof college students is the important resources of ideological and political education work cannot be ignored, has for years been inspiring future generations to learn from predecessorsrevolutionary tradition, constantly enrich themselves to achieve the great revival of themotherland and work harder. So we should cherish and the use of red resources in collegesand universities, with its unique advantages and important education value added of thedeficiency in the current ideological and political education in colleges and universities, so asto constantly enrich the content of the ideological and political education, to cultivate collegestudents’ love the motherland and the people, the reform innovation spirit of the times iscurrently the needs to strengthen the ideological and political education of college studentsthe important topic.This article mainly use the methods of literature analysis, dialectical analysis andinterdisciplinary analysis, from the education value of red resources, introduces the relatedtheory of red resources, through the questionnaire survey points out the red resourcesutilization status of the ideological and political education in colleges and universities in ourcountry, found by the method of integrating theory with practice, and further find out thecause of the problem and its effective countermeasures, tries hard to realize the red resourcesin make full use of the ideological and political education in colleges and universities. Thispaper is divided into three parts to discuss:The first part, general theory analysis of red resources. This section will be divided intothree parts: first of all,through the red resources connotation, characteristics andclassification of its basic concepts are expounded, secondly elaborated the red resources in the function and role of the ideological and political education, as the ideological and politicaleducation to provide the necessary political orientation; To constantly enrich the content ofideological and political education, etc., finally introduced the red resources in ideologicaland political education in colleges and universities make full use of necessity. This partmainly from the requirement of promoting the popularization of marsism, enriching thecontent of moral education in colleges and universities and the need to cultivate collegestudent’s core values for description of the three aspects reflect the full use of the necessityand urgency of red resources.The second part, the red resources in ideological and political education in colleges anduniversities use present situation and cause analysis. First is of ten colleges and universities inHeBei province is a typical of1000college students has carried on the questionnaire, throughthe analysis of the questionnaire survey and summary, finding out the our country presentstage of red resources in ideological and political education in colleges and universities usethe problem: education form too single; Education content to be rich; Education actual effectis not ideal.
