In the new curriculum reform, the author realizes that traditional teaching method is still used in unit review class. The situational unit revision lesson is a kind of new class type which suffers from less promotion. The author makes a survey to study current situation of the situational unit revision lesson. The research objects are teachers and students of several middle schools in Beijing and the research method is semi open interview. According to the interview results, the author analyzed the reasons why this method cannot be used in the daily unit review lesson. The results showed that, most teachers and students agree this teaching mode, but hold that its popularization degree is not high because of design difficulties and class control problems, which hinder the promotion of situational unit revision lesson. Therefore, the author selected seven outstanding cases using the full context and proposed some suggestions for the design and instruction of situational unit review with statistical method.This research includes five chapters.Chapter one is introduction which illustrates the origin and significance of this research as well as the current situation of this study.Chapter two is the theoretical basis and the core concepts of this study which introduces the theoretical basis of this study, that is constructivism and inquire teaching.Chapter three illustrates the interview results with statistical method and shows the current status of whole situational unit revision class which makes a comparative analysis of traditional recitation and situational unit revision with the two examples.Chapter four shows the characteristics, course design, teaching ideas and problems of situational unit revision class by analyzing seven excellent whole situational teaching cases. It also summarizes the design template of whole situational unit revision teaching with statistics method.Chapter five is the results and findings of this research which shows the whole design diagram of whole situational unit review class.
