The purpose of education lies in “awakening”, waking up education concept is aimedat explaining the process of Chinese education is a process of human awakening. Classicalpoetry, both the external present forms and the content of ideological it contains the optimumeducation curriculum resources for awakening. It is very necessary to integrate the idea ofawakening education and classical poetry teaching. One of the reasons for inefficient teachingof classical poetry is during the process of teaching; we are neglect at paying close attentionto the spirit world of students, however, the concept of awakening education focus on theall-round development of students, even the soul level of students. Based on this, in this paper,on the foundation of the existing education concept and the study of classical poetry,analyzing the wake-up function of high school classical poetry, under the guidance of theawakening education concept and combine with the practical exploration of high schoolclassical poetry, the frame of the full text as follows:The first is the introduction; it introduces the reasons of writing, and the significance andmethods of research.The first part introduces the connotation and the basis of theory of "the awakeningeducation", and the significance of using awakening education concept in the teaching of highschool classical poetry. The concept of awakening education originated from the field ofbiology and medicine, which in foreign countries, later it was adopted by educators in thefield of education. I agree with the views of Mr. Cao Minghai, the awakening education is"through the meaningful dialogue between the subjects, arousing the sleepingself-consciousness from the depths of human life, liberating their internal spirit, promptingcomprehensive awakening in terms of the values, sense of life and creativity of human beings.In order to realize the education process that consciously building free self life.Its developments based on the theories of cultural education, constructivism, humanism.The value of implementing the concept of awakening education in the classical poetry ofmiddle school is to stimulate students’ interest in learning classical poetry, to enhancestudents’ cultural literacy and to promote student life consciousness. The second part uses questionnaire and interview method to analyze the lackperformance and reasons for the current classical poetry in regard of awakening education. Byquestionnaire and interview the high school language teachers and students, we can concludethat the lack of current awakens concept about classical poetry performance in two aspects:One is the lack of awakening of poetry itself, it Performance in paying more attention toconstrue,despising sentiment, ignoring the stylistic features of classical poetry; focusing toomuch on writing skills, lacking of the taste to the content of poem; the other is the lack ofawakening about classroom activities. The existence of formal classroom inquiry anddiscussion, pseudo subjectivity; the single form of classroom activities, students lack ofexperience;the reading dynamics of teachers and students is not strong enough, being shortof proper guidance; homework is ignored, and doesn’t play its proper role. The lack of currentclassroom teaching awakens concept about classical poetry of middle school has a bigrelations with four factors, as follows: teachers, students, the use of multimedia and thecollege entrance examination system.The third part is the focus of the paper, that is how to use the concept of awakeningeducation in the teaching of classical poetry, the author from four aspects to construct theclassical poetry class, namely: the import link, reading link, tasting link, and experiencing link,here the author reads a lot of teaching cases and analysis them, through the combination ofthese outstanding teaching cases refactoring it, I hope it can make contribution to the teachingof classical poetry.The last part is epilogue, it emphasizes on that the awakening education of classicalpoetry is not accomplish at one stroke, teachers need to set an example by personally duringtaking part in teaching practice, with the anticipation that under the joint efforts of everyone,classical poetry teaching will be a new situation, students immersed in the beautiful world thatcreated by classical poetry, so as to achieving comprehensive development.
