Chinese traditional culture is the sum of spirit wealth throughout over five thousands ofyears, whose content is very rich, vast and far-reaching. Especially, Confucianism, as the mostexcellent mainstream thought, has influenced us profoundly and becomes the foundations ofcultural development in the different historical period as well as motivation of creativity.Since Han Dynasty, Confucianism, as a mainstream thought of ruling class, is the mainstreamconsciousness schools of ancient China and the core of traditional Chinese culture in most ofthe historical periods. Today, it is still the core of Chinese traditional culture; it has a differentinfluence on Chinese society.Under the influence of a variety of network and media culture, there is a positive aspect interms of the qualities of ideology and morality among college students. Also there are manynegative behavioral phenomena. The ideological and moral concepts of many college studentshave been influenced, which lead to shortness of Chinese traditional culture, especially thecore of Confucianism. In addition, there also exists more and less shortness of moraleducation with Confucianism of Chinese characteristics in colleges and universities.Therefore, it is imperative to bring the essence of Confucianism into the construction of moraleducation system of college students.The first part is an introduction. In this part, the reasons and research significance of thepaper are discussed depending on reading and studying lots of literature, meanwhile spirits ofrelationship between Confucianism and cultural the ideological and political education ofCollege Students is presented and inductive, which in ancient and modern Chinese andforeign. Then the paper suggests the research methods and innovation points.The second part, on the basis of relevant concepts defined above, analyze the relationshipbetween Confucianism in ideological and political education among college students.Meticulous research division and emphasized the role of Confucianism in the ideological andpolitical education of college students, upheld the principle is critical inheritance, all the ideasused by Confucianism essential part of the outstanding.The third part, discusses the Confucianism contemporary value in the ideological andpolitical education. Confucianism start as the main content of education offered ideologicaland political education, educational methods, provides a theoretical basis for achieving theultimate goal of education. Measures proposed to make more specific. The fourth part, combined with the main problem exists in Confucianism in ideologicaland political education, such as the performance at the lack of ideals and beliefs, traditionalvirtues concept fade, the lack of social responsibility and the lack of integrity awareness.The fifth part, proposed the value of Confucianism strategies used in the ideological andpolitical education. Finally, according to these methods and content of Confucianism, theauthor combines the situation, deficiency and attribution, and puts forward some effectivestrategies to improve the ideological and political education of College Students.
