With the development of society and economy, the network technology has madeleaps and bounds in China, and researches about the Internet become more and moreabundant, and at the same time people pay more and more attention to personalexhibition platform, which is the real-time micro-blog. College students who areactive in thinking, creative and imaginative, eager to participate in social activities, and micro-blogs with their snappiness and easiness to use, which bring their concernsand love. Students make use of micro-blogs in order to obtain information, keep anaccount of the life, and express feelings, therefore micro-blogs increasingly integrateinto the daily life of College students. The Micro-blog Master is launched by Sinacompany in order to make a common user experience the "Star"feeling, who areactive in micro-blogs. The activity of micro-blog Masters affect participation in themicro-blogs’ space, because college students in micro-blog Masters are the mainrepresentative. For this reason the author want to know university students how to selfpresentation in micro-blogs’ space. What are the differences between these featuresand their characteristics in real life? What is the mechanism behind these differences? These questions and perspectives need to examined. The author combine theself-presentation theory and the space-time theory, to carry out discussion on theseissues. The main content of the paper is to summarize and explain the difference ofcollege students micro-blog Masters who present themselves between the networkspace and social reality. The study adopts the method of qualitative research, in otherwords, combining in-depth interviews with the text analysis, At the same time themain method is the in-depth interview method, and analysis of texts is the auxiliarymethod to add to the interviews. The author as a member of college students using themicro-blog, around the outline of interviews, can communicate with the survey’respondents in relaxed exchange environment to understand characteristics ofrespondents who present themselves in the Internet space. These characteristicsinclude a "the mask type" show, the strength of the frequent interaction withstrong-ties groups, quests for true regression of their own, and the interactive situation with the virtuality and reality interweaving. To carry out the comparison of the self presentation in the network space andsocial reality, the author establishes four analytic dimensions. They consist of themode of communication, the ability of coordinating social actions, interactivesituations with interactive subjects embodied and the interactive symbols withinteractive subjects adopting. Based on these four dimensions of analysis, the authorsums up four idiographic differences in the self presentation.First and foremost, thenetwork break through rigid contact models in social reality.Secondly, the real societyhas more highlights in the coordination ability of social action than the network space.Thirdly, network space breaks through the space-time boundary, while social realitydemarcate the physical presence.Fourthly, network space utilizes more diverseinteractive symbols than the real society. The author analyzes the reasons behind theseself-presentation differences, by elaborating them from subjective and objectiveaspects. First and foremost, college students are active in participating in theperformance than before and improving their quality.Secondly, modernself-emancipation minds have an important influence to college students.Thirdly, commercialization has a shock to interactive Subjects’ behaviors. Fourthly, the socialtrust mechanism has gradually established. From the establishment of analyticdimensions in self-presentation differences, the development of comparison processes,to the interpretation of these differences, these contents are gradually promoted andcorresponding. Because the author have limited capacities for research, and theacademics has no a unified standard and dimensions in comparison, the comparison inself presentation pertains to the stage of exploration and study.
