From The New Media Perspective To Research Of The Problems And Countermeasure Of Primary School On Ideology And Character Education

Network technology and mobile technology accelerates the coming of the newmedia age. The new media, with abundant information, shared resources andpersonalized contents and other characters, draws the attention of pupils andunconsciously influences the formation of their study, life and characters. As a newtechnical means, the new media also brings both opportunity and challenge to thetraditional ideology and character education. In the new media environment,accomplishing the ideology education effectively has become an issue that cannot beneglected by the ideology and politics educators nowadays. This paper firstlyinterprets the new media, new media environment and elementary school ideologyand character education theoretically, then analyzes the close relationship between thenew media and elementary school ideology and character education through the realdata of questionnaires, and discusses corresponding solution to pupils’ ideology andcharacter education in the new media environment from five perspectives, namely,network language, moral consciousness, online time, exclusive website and relevantguidance.This paper can be divided into the following four parts:The first part is introduction.This part firstly introduces the background of this topic “the existing problemsand solution analysis of elementary school ideology and character education in thenew media environment”, and discusses the significance of the research in theoreticaland practical respects, then introduces foreign research status of this topic abroadrespectively. This paper mainly combines the Marxist theory, Communication study,Political science, Education and other related knowledge and applies literatureresearch, questionnaire, interview as well as multidisciplinary combination method. The innovative point is to link the new media environment with elementary schoolideology and character education and to discuss the existing problems andcorresponding solution of elementary school ideology and character educationthrough real and effective questionnaires and interviews.The second part is the outline of new media environment and elementary schoolideology and character education.This part firstly elaborates the basic concepts of new media and new mediaenvironment, and the characteristics of new media environment from five respects,namely, the massive share, free communication, individual services, mutual fusionand mode conversion. Then it starts with the basic concept of elementary schoolideology and character education, outlines its significance and value and three maineducation channels, school education, family education and society education. At last,it analyzes the inner relationship between new media and ideology and charactereducation from the perspectives of the characteristics of new media, the fitting ofcultural trend and pupils’ characteristics.The third part is the present situation analysis of new media to elementary schoolideology and character education.This part is the innovative one in this paper. Firstly, it analyzes pupils’ use of newmedia through the questionnaires of nearly2000students from5elementary schoolsand their parents. Then it analyzes the existing five problems of elementary schoolideology and character education in new media environment through the effectivenessof questionnaires, which are abusing network language, weakening moralconsciousness, too long online time, weak exclusive websites and lacking scientificguidance, and summarizes the root of negative effects of new media on pupils.The fourth part is the solution analysis of elementary school ideology andcharacter education in new media environment.This part is the key and difficult part of this paper. During the writing, the authortries to analyze strategies of elementary school ideology and character educationobjectively and truly basing on the background of new media environment, and toavoid empty talk and divorcing from reality. This part mainly analyzes strategies fromthe three perspectives, society, school and family, which are closely connected withpupils’ real life. Firstly, government agencies and social organizations should improve corresponding laws and regulations, establish and improve pupils’ exclusive websites,and learn from foreign successful experience at the same time; then the educationmanagement departments and schools should make full use of network resources todevelop teachers’ new media literacy and to train students’ new media literacy; at last,parents should develop their own literacy, establish the image of credibility andstrengthen the supervision on children.This study combines the Marxist theory, Communication study, Political science,Education and other related knowledge; applies literature research, questionnaire,interview as well as multidisciplinary combination method, elaborates the concept andcharacteristics of the new media, the concept and characteristics of the new mediaenvironment, the basic concept of ideology and politics education and its significance,value and channel; analyses the inner link between the new media and ideology andcharacter education; and according to the questionnaire records the applicationsituation of the new media of pupils and the influence on pupils imposed by the newmedia environment, finally analyses the problems and roots existing in the elementaryschool ideology and character education under the new media environment.The last part of the paper takes the questionnaire data into consideration toanalyze the solution to the problems existing in the elementary school ideology andcharacter education in the new media environment, and from three perspectives,society, school and family, gradually puts forward ideas and suggestions to improvethe ideology and character education.The research of this subject helps deepen the practice discussion of the ideologyand character education in the new media environment, and enriches the theory studyof the new media in the aspect of primary school ideology and character education soas to provide reference to the ideology and character education on pupils in the newmedia environment.
