As the development of international social politics, economics, and culture, the idea ofeducation for international understanding has been affecting every aspects of internationalmusic education since1940s.Elementary music education is the foundation of national musiceducation, it is a significant method to develop the national consciousness of globalizationand cultural education concept of tolerance, multi-element, and communication to employ theidea of education for international understanding to Chinese elementary music education.When discussing international understanding education and its development process, theauthor investigates the production of theory, the cultural and historical background of theresearch and relevant connotations through a large number of literatures.
