With the world economic globalization and the background of China’s rapid economicgrowth, the individual must have the basic ability--economic consciousness--in social life,which has become an important content in education for all-around development in highschool. In the process of the implementation of quality education, the history educatorscontinually strengthen the importance of economic consciousness education problems. At thesame time, in2004, a new round of high school history curriculum reform was launched inour country. In the new curriculum reform, it pointed out the direction of economicconsciousness education for high school students clearly.How to educate the students in high school about the economic consciousness? Here,guided by the new curriculum concept and based on Yue Lu Edition High School HistoryRequired Textbook Ⅱ, I’ll have a further study of education methods which are suitable forthe implementation of economic consciousness. These methods are also on the basis ofsummarizing economic consciousness of teaching contents, while I will use four instructionaldesigns and combine them with the teaching cases.This paper is divided into four parts:PartⅠ An outline of economic consciousness educationThis paper explains the core concepts of the economic consciousness education andelaborates the connotation of economic consciousness education.PartⅡ The necessity and feasibility analysis of economic consciousness education in highschool history teachingThis paper expounds the necessity of strengthening economic consciousness educationmainly from three aspects. They are the needs of era, the implementation of quality educationand the demand for the development of the students. The paper also demonstrates thefeasibility of economic consciousness education from the set of historical new curriculumstandard, the universality of high school history teaching material contents and thecharacteristics of high school history course,Part Ⅲ To explain the contents of economic consciousness education in high schoolhistory teaching materials.Combined with the new curriculum standard and based on Yue Lu Edition High School History Required Textbook Ⅱ, sum up five major history materials in economicconsciousness education.Part Ⅳ The methods of implementation of economic consciousness education in Highschool historical teachingOn the basis of summarizing the economic consciousness teaching contents, I’ll explore themethods of economic consciousness education implementation, which are combined with theteaching cases and use four instructional designs.
