Comprehensive Practice Course is an important field of Curriculum Reform of Elementary Education, it is based on the students’experience, and related to students’ own life and the social life. It reflects the integrated use of knowledge, and it is a new curriculum mode which with the main line of’theme--experience-expression’.Theme is the best way to achieve the integration of course content, but throughout the current studies about comprehensive practical activities’themes, not only lack of systematic, lack of theoretical support and practice, but also lack of the study about process and the reflection about students’development.This essay will be based on the theoretical exploration and practical reflection, then study the process of selecting Comprehensive Practice activities’ themes.First of all, from the perspective of humanology, analyzing the basis of theme selection. The creativeness of human is an important strength of helping student choose theme, and It gives people creative energy. The subjectivity of human being will make students hold dominant position in the process of choosing theme and the social relation will enlarge the space of theme selection. The practical existence of human being enlightens people that the selection of theme should not only come from the practice, but also the specific practice activities. Then through analyzing of the basic orientation of knowledge transformation and the direction of curriculum reform, discussing the effect of these development and changes on the theme selection.Through preliminary study, there are some main problems which exit in the process of theme selection:1.awareness level:do not realize the importance of theme selection;2.implementation level:the problems which appearing in the process of implementation, including the utilitarian purpose of theme selection, the bias of topic content.3. teachers’guidance level:usurp the rights of theme selection and ignore the theme regeneration.To solve these problems, this paper attempt to give some strategies from the perspective of students, teachers and schools. Students should learn to capture problems from their own life and bravely speak "their voice".For teachers, they should have the correct purpose of theme selection, deepen the understanding about the topic selection, then listen to the voice of students and give students the opportunity to choose, at last, teachers should guide to inspire timely and seize the opportunity to promote new theme. Schools should establish and improve the safety management system, let students select theme better. Secondly, schools should build a communication and cooperation platform for teachers and students, to promote the exchanges and coexistence of theme, thirdly, schools should cooperate with parents and the community, provide convenient conditions for students’ theme selection. I hope these suggestions can help students select theme more efficiently and help teachers guide students’selection better.
