The reform of the New National Curriculum has extended its influence in all aspects of education since2001. Of all these competence, the one to evaluate a lesson objectively is of crucial importance for how a lesson is achieved and how teachers improve in teaching career. These two competences are even more important to history teachers as their subject is features in humanism. Normal students major in history, who are the major force of prospective teachers, are also required to have these competences. It’s necessary to teach the normal students to reflect lessons in what aspects and how to make connections for their teaching. This is why this dissertation is written to make contributions for educational reform on history subject from the prospect of a normal students’reflection competency.This dissertation includes four parts. The first part will briefly illustrate the background and significance of the research and then poses research questions. The second part is mainly a literature review for the present research and opinions on how to evaluate the achievement of a history lesson. Examples of how normal teachers reflect after observing lessons will be provided for the finding of gaps. The third part will focus on how the students to reflect and explore ways to develop their competence in reflection. The forth part will be a comprehensive reflection on the topic and a natural conclusion, as well as possible topics for further research of dissertation and this topic.Through this dissertation, I argues that the ways to enhance the outlook competency in lesson evaluation of the Normal students major in history is:a good lesson to further clarify the concepts and trends in the new curriculum standards advocated reforms to establish a correct outlook of good lesson; understand the types and levels of observation and evaluation, and to continue observation and evaluation to enhance the level of thinking. To this end, we must be multifaceted efforts. Studying at the university, Normal teachers should focus on training capacity in this regard, Normal students major in history themselves should be diligent in the quality of the teaching profession itself, focusing on the ability to develop and enhance the level of observation and evaluation, and go to work later, should observation and evaluation capabilities and focus on improving their own development.
