The course reform in senior high school divided the Chinese Course into requiredcourses and electives. With the advancement of course reform, electives is increasingly beingvalued. According to course standard, corresponding elective courses are introduced for eachversion. Selected Readings of Pre-Qin Thinkers is one of the cultural reading electives in PEPedition, which received general attention due to its cultural deposits and classical nature.Based on the course significance, and combined theory with practice, this thesis discussed thecompilation and teaching situation of this course, interpreted the objective of this course, andproposed corresponding teaching strategies accordingly.The first chapter focused on the discussion of the course significance of SelectedReadings of Pre-Qin Thinkers. This chapter mainly discussed the significance in cultivatingthe students’ humanistic spirit and promoting their appreciation ability in classical Chinesereadings. I hope this course can absorb enough attention of the educators.The second chapter focused on the discussion of compilation situation of this course andthe teaching status summarized by myself on the basis of teaching practice. In terms of thecompilation of the textbook, firstly, summarized the compilation style of this textbook, andthen proposed the strengths and deficiencies of the compilation, and hope to providereferences to the textbook editors and writers and the textbook users through the my plainresearch.Given the limited ability of the author, and the selectivity of elective courses,thiscourse has not been universal creation, the author has not opened many schools surroundingthis course, the author summarizes the problems come from the teaching I taught school.The third chapter researched the course objective. The first part of this chapterresearched the overall objective of the senior high school courses and the objective of theelectives, as well as cleared the course orientation of Selected Readings of Pre-Qin Thinkers.The second part studied the concrete objective of this course so as to guide the teaching.The fourth chapter proposed concrete teaching strategy based on the above contents. Thefirst part of this chapter researched how to determine appropriate teaching contents from theselection and integration of teaching contents. The second part proposed some feasibleteaching methods in terms of reading classics, influence, major problems, etc. based on theteaching practice for reference.
